Sharemywifi.com overview
Let's say Alice has a WiFi point ...

Yes, this is the worst illustration, ever. Thank you.

Let's say Alice has a WiFi access point hooked up to her cable modem at home, and
it's called 'NoWires'. She also has WEP turned on, so random passers-by can't sniff
her network traffic or use her network.
Alice is stuck footing the monthly bill herself, but she really wouldn't mind sharing
her internet access.
Now, let's say Bob lives a floor down from Alice, but has never met her.
Bob has discovered he can 'see' a wireless network called 'NoWires' just fine,
but he can't connect to it - and he can't figure out who it belongs to.
Enter sharemywifi.com!
Alice listed her access point on sharemywifi.com, and says "I'll share my wireless in
exchange for cookies once a month!"
Bob did a quick search on sharemywifi.com. Lo and behold - he found Alice's listing
for 'nowires', and by using the interactive map he knows it's
close to him. Bob, as it happens, also bakes some mean cookies.
Bob uses sharemywifi.com to send Alice an email saying "Hey! I can see your network, and I'm the cookie-baking
MASTER. Want to share?"
Alice sent Bob an email, and the rest is history.
It's that simple
So hop to it.
